Balls

 

Good evening!

Ahh...the simplicity of a bouncing ball. I genuinely enjoyed taking a step backwards and just animating something fluid and simple. My goal here was satisfaction, and despite the tug on my brain to make some complex crazy magnum opus for my first project, I fought the urge and decided to do something simple and clean.

And then I met my first antagonist, and possibly my main: TECHNOLOGY. As the next class flooded in I threw my animation file onto the student server, emailed it, and did everything I could to seal its place in my golden mansion. And yet, as I approached a different student computer...I could not recover it.

So there it sat, on a desktop in the forbidden animation room of knowledge, and my multiple attempts to get into the classroom lead to humiliation and disappointment. My sidekick, Cole, reassured me that everything would be okay, that I could recover the file and polish my wonderful piece, but I felt defeated...once again.
